  • Why .Menu?
  • Food captivates hearts and minds (and stomachs) like
almost nothing else on earth. People spend countless hours
surfing the web for menus, dining suggestions, restaurant
information, reviews and offers, recipes and
dietary details. .MENU will concentrate all this information in one central location. There will finally be an online community for all activities and interests related to restaurants and their menus. This new top-level domain offers restaurants, bars, chefs, diners, and anyone else interested in menus, their very own segment of the Internet.
  • .Menu – Get a Great Domain Name
  • With .com, .net, .info and other currently existing TLDs, the best domain names are already occupied. For years, the entire world competed for a limited swath of Internet real estate, unassociated with an industry, niche or interest.

.MENU changes all of that. This TLD is for those interested in or businesses centered around menus. It is a brand new namespace, not only making it easier to find a great domain name, but also where the domain name can bring relevance to your restaurant, catering, bar, etc. business.

.MENU is for everyone! If you don’t already own a great domain name, .MENU offers endless opportunities. For those already possessing a .com or other TLD domain name, .MENU can help distinguish your website, bringing added focus and searchability.

  • It’s All About Your Menu
  • Many things matter to your restaurant, bar, catering or food product business: service, ambiance, cleanliness. However, none of these are as critical to success as your menu and the quality of the items on that menu. If your customers are coming for your menu, they undoubtedly want to search for your menu online – .MENU, it’s the business you’re in.
  • Menu is a Global Word
  • Business and communications are becoming increasingly global as borders of all kinds become obsolete: geographically, economically, religiously, politically and even linguistically. While many of the new TLDs claim to be global in scope, they become irrelevant and less searchable in other languages.

For example, .restaurant and .food might have relevance as new TLDs in the English speaking world. However, those terms lose significance to those using the Internet in non-English languages. This holds true even in the United States, where the 2010 American Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau reported that Spanish is the primary language spoken by almost 37 million people age 5 or over; a number that has more than doubled in the last 20 years and continues to rise. English speakers, in the United States and throughout the world, are no longer the only target market.

Menu holds the same meaning and spelling in many languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Indonesian, Maltese, Hungarian, Czech, Filipino, Polish, Slovak, Danish, Finnish, Javanese, and the list goes on.

Your .MENU domain name will transcend the limits of the English language in internet visibility and SEO: a claim that .food and .restaurant simply cannot make.

  • .Menu vs. .Restaurant
    • YourName.MENU is shorter than YourName.Restaurant
    • Menu is the same word in multiple languages
    • Menu is what your customers want to know about you establishment
    • Restaurant is one of the 100 most misspelled words in the English language – www.world-english.org. This matters whenever people search for your establishment online.
  • .Menu is an Open Registry with No Restrictions
  • Although several industry-specific TLDs already exist, they are all closed or restricted registries. These TLDs (.travel, .aero) only offer domain names to those established in their respective industries and meeting certain requirements. Furthermore, documentation must be provided prior to being allowed to register a domain name. This is not the case with .MENU, which will be open and available to any interested registrant.
  • .Menu is Safe
  • The .MENU registry developed stringent policies to provide an exemplary namespace for its registrants. .MENU is committed to delivering uninterrupted, safe service with zero tolerance towards abuse.
